Weight Watchers Chaffle Burger

Ingredients:

For the Chaffles:
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (part-skim)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For the Burger:
  • 4 lean ground turkey or beef patties (choose according to your preference)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles
  • Mustard and ketchup (sugar-free or reduced sugar

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Waffle Maker:
    • Preheat your mini waffle maker.
  2. Prepare Chaffle Batter:
    • In a bowl, mix the shredded mozzarella, eggs, almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder (if using), salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Cook the Chaffles:
    • Grease the waffle maker lightly.
    • Spoon a portion of the batter onto the center of the waffle maker and close the lid.
    • Cook until the chaffle is golden brown and firm to the touch. Repeat for the remaining batter.
  4. Cook the Burger Patties:
    • Season the turkey or beef patties with salt and pepper.
    • Grill or cook the patties in a skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked.
  5. Assemble the Chaffle Burgers:
    • Place a chaffle on a plate, add a lettuce leaf, a burger patty, tomato slices, and pickles.
    • Top with another chaffle to form a burger.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve the chaffle burgers with mustard and ketchup on the side.
