Honey Garlic Chicken

Ingredients:
– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/4 cup soy sauce
– 1/4 cup honey
– 1/4 cup water or chicken broth
– 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
– Optional garnish: Sesame seeds and chopped green onions

 

 

Instructions:

1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides. Then, coat them in flour, shaking off any excess.

2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

3. Add the coated chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.

4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

5. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, water or chicken broth, and rice vinegar.

6. Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the garlic. Stir well to combine.

7. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.

8. Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, coating them with the honey garlic sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat the chicken through and let it absorb the flavors.

9. Optional: Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top for garnish.

10. Serve the Honey Garlic Chicken hot, accompanied by steamed rice or your choice of sides.
