Phoebe Cates is still stunning
Considering how young the Fast Times at Ridgemont High cast was at the time the movie came out and how well-liked it was, it’s amusing. People would watch it over and over while quoting the dialogue. They all found it to be a peculiar experience, Jennifer Jason Leigh continued.
Later, Phoebe Cates co-starred in Steven Spielberg’s Gremlins and played Christine Ramsey in Private School. She met the well-known theater performer Kevin Kline while she was at a casting for the 1983 film The Big Chill. She later married Kline even though she didn’t get the part.
Cates and Kline became friends while she was his assistant. Two years later, Kline hired her former assistant, and he asked the employee to help him ask Cates out on a date.
In 1989, Cates and Kline were married in New York City. Their firstborn, Owen Joseph, was born to Cates in 1991. She gave birth to their daughter Greta Simone in 1994.
According to Kline, the secret to their 27-year marriage’s success has been “taking care of the marriage.”. After they had children, despite the fact that Cates’ career was booming, she decided to take a break from performing. In the 1990s, she started to fade away from the entertainment world.
In 1998, she told Playboy that she and her husband had agreed to switch acting roles so that their children would never be without a parent. In this way, there would always be a parent present for the children.
Phoebe Cates established Blue Tree in 2005 on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, where she also resides. The store is close to the famous Carnegie Hall and sells gifts, clothes, and fragrances.
Cates still has a stunning appearance despite being well-known for her roles in films like “Gremlins” and “Fast Times at Ridgemont High.”. Cates devote her entire time to running a shop, working there or searching for new products to sell. Shoppers can now find Blue Tree in New York City at 1283 Madison Avenue.
When I consider Phoebe, a few things come to mind. Although I’ve always thought she was a fantastic actor, the shower scene from “Paradise” and the bikini scene from “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” are the first two that come to mind. She most certainly made a lasting impression during those performances!
